Christmas pillow box

If you're looking for some gift packaging, the Stampin' Up! Trim Your Stockings Thinlits Dies not only make Christmas Stockings but also very cute Pillow Boxes too.

Stampin' Up! Trim Your Stockings pillow box by Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts

I used the gorgeous metallic Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper to create the pillow box from the Trim Your Stockings Thinlits dies set.  It was then embellished by using some of the other dies from the same set too.  How cute is that gold Glimmer Paper bell.

Introducing the Stampin' Up! Stamparatus

I'm very excited that Stampin' Up! are releasing a new stamping tool called the Stamparatus.

http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx?dbwsdemoid=4011749

So what is it and what does it do?

We’ve had the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to help line up and position our stamps in the right place on a projects for many years, but the Stamparatus takes stamp positioning and stamping to a new level.
·         Stamp multiples of the same image with ease
·         Consistently stamp crisp, clean images
·         If you want a darker impression, apply more ink and restamp—no need to start over
·         Make fewer mistakes, saving time and money
·         Easily create 2-step, 3-step, and 4-step stamped images using reversible plates
·         Compatible with Stampin’ Up!’s red rubber and photopolymer stamp
·         Foam mat included to use with photopolymer stamps
·         Has rulers and gridlines for quick measuring
·         There are two open sides so you can stamp on larger paper – perfect for card makers or scrapbookers
·         Includes two reversible plates: a total of 4 surfaces to work with
·         Two strong magnets to hold the paper in place
·         It has a magnet storage area under the base
·         Note: it will not work with Wood Mount stamps.

Here’s a video that Stampin’ Up! have produced showing the benefits of the new Stamparatus.
This tool is to become a standard product in the next annual catalogue being released next May, but as Stampin’ Up! knows people will want to get this tool sooner, they’re offering a limited number via three  pre-order windows so you can reserve and receive your tool early.  Once the pre-order limit is filled, the pre-order window will close and you will not be able to reserve yours until the next pre-order window.

You will need to shop online in my store and have a credit card to reserve your Stamparatus.  Your credit card will not be charged until the tool is shipped.  The cost is $85.

Stampin' Up! Stamparatus preorder at Angela's PaperArts
I’ll definitely be placing my pre-order this Friday, 17 November at 8am when it opens.  I can’t wait to get this tool as I’ve had a similar tool which cost me significantly more for some time, but it doesn’t do everything that the new Stamparatus does!  If you have any questions, please let me know.

Copper Year of Cheer Christmas card

I've been loving the gorgeous metallics in the Stampin' Up! Year of Cheer suite this year.  Why not make a Christmas card featuring the non-traditional colour of Copper?

Here's a close-up of the card featuring a large Foil Snowflake (available in gold and silver) and a Copper foil snowflake diecut from the Seasonal Layer thinlits set.

The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set.

Noel stocking card

Christmas card making is in full swing now and I'll be bringing you a variety of cards over the next few weeks.

Stampin' Up! Hang Your Stocking card by Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts

I started this card with a Stampin' Up! Emerald Envy card base and layered some Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper and a smaller piece of Emerald Envy card stock on top.  I then stamped the holly berries and leaves onto some Whisper White card stock using the Hang Your Stocking stamp set. The Christmas Stocking Thinlits were then used to diecut the stocking, 'Noel', holly berries and leaves and I layered them onto the card. The Quilted Christmas ribbon was used to hang the stocking from the Noel sentiment.  All products used to make this card are listed below.

Pink ribbon of courage

Today is the last day of my fundraiser to raise donations for the Cancer Council Australia.

This card is a very similar in design to one I did earlier in the month but features a Powder Pink and Fresh Fig colour scheme.  If you want to help, why not get the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and co-ordinating Support Ribbon thinlits bundle from me and I'll donate $5 for every bundle sold by 31 October.  This set isn't limited to making cards for those suffering from cancer, it can be used for birthday and other occasions too.  Here's the same card, but instead of using the large ribbon diecut, I added the flower & leaves which is also in the set.

Night of Bethlehem christmas card

If you're looking to make a more traditional Christmas card, the Stampin' Up! Night of Bethlehem stamp set and co-ordinating Bethlehem Edgelits dies would be a perfect choice.

Stampin' Up! Night of Bethlehem card by Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts

To create this card I started with a Whisper White card base and added a layer of the Merry Music Speciality Designer Series Paper.  I then stamped the scene and sentiment from the Night of Bethlehem stamp set onto another piece of Whisper White card stock.  The characters were also stamped in black ink, die cut and layered onto the card.  A gold star and partial gold foil snowflake completes the card.
